amaysim supports a range of devices including mobiles, tablets and mobile data only devices such as dongles and pocket WiFi's. As long as the device you're planning to use is unlocked and compatible with either 3G or 4G, you should be good to go.
You can use the amaysim mobile data only plans on any unlocked modem or dongle or on devices that are compatible with the Optus Network. To get the most out of the superfast Optus 4G Plus network, you'll need a device that's 700MHz compatible.
Most modems are 'locked' by the operator so it's best to check with your current provider. When you are ready to set up your device read our internet and APN set-up instructions for more details.>
You can choose to pay for your plan upfront (prepaid) or opt to receive a monthly bill. If you're prepaid and pay for your plan using a Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit, your plan will recharge automatically every 28 days. If you're a Postpaid customer, your plan will simply be added onto your monthly bill.
There are three simple ways to change your mobile plan.
You sure can. amaysim customers stay because they want to, not because they have to.
If you're transferring your amaysim number to a different Aussie telco, simply contact them to arrange the transfer. Your new provider will then touch base with us to organise the transfer and cancellation of your amaysim service.
If you're not transferring your amaysim number, just contact us on Live Chat (or via email if out of hours). Just a heads up that you would lose your amaysim mobile number, along with any unused amaysim credit and/or data and any saved voicemails. If you want to use amaysim again in the future, you'd simply need to buy a new SIM.
