You will be upgraded to your chosen higher speed amaysim NBN plan immediately. You’ll only be charged the higher price from the next bill cycle. Enjoy higher speeds for a lower price until then.
How will I be charged for an NBN plan downgrade?
You will continue to enjoy the higher speed plan for the rest of your renewal cycle and billed for the lower speed NBN plan from the next bill cycle.
How long will it take to for my NBN plan upgrade to come into effect?

FTTP: Fibre to the Premises
Your plan typically adjusts to the new speed around 10 minutes after you’ve changed your plan. As the speed changes, there will be a brief drop in your internet connection for around 8 mins. This can can last up to 30 minutes, but rarely happens.
