HOW TO ACTIVATE A REPLACEMENT SIM
Once you've received or purchased a replacement SIM for your amaysim mobile plan, to activate it, simply follow these steps:
- Log in to My amaysim or the amaysim app.
- Select ‘Plan’ from the menu or swipe up in the amaysim app.
- Select ‘Replace SIM’.
- Select ‘Activate replacement SIM’ under the ‘Already have a replacement SIM?’ section.
- Enter the 13-digit SIM number, then click ‘Next’ to activate your new SIM and swap your existing amaysim number over to it.
- We'll send you an email to confirm that your new SIM has become active. It may take up to 4 hours for you to receive your confirmation email, but you will be able to use your SIM in the meantime.
How to order a replacement SIM
If your SIM is lost or damaged, here’s how to order a replacement that you’ll be able to use on your existing amaysim number:
- Log in to My amaysim or the amaysim app.
- Select ‘Plan’ from the menu or swipe up in the amaysim app.
- Select ‘Replace SIM’.
- Select the reason for replacing your SIM, then click the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom of the screen.
- Make sure your delivery details are correct, then click the ‘Confirm replacement’ button at the bottom of the screen to order your replacement SIM.
Delivery is FREE and your new physical SIM should be with you within 2-10 days. You will be able to use your existing SIM as normal while you wait for your replacement to arrive. If you order an eSIM, you’ll be able to download it instantly.
The SIM you'll receive will be a 3-in-1 SIM so you can punch out a Standard, Micro or Nano SIM. So, no matter what type of SIM your device needs, we’ve got you covered!
What to do if you can’t wait 2-10 working days for your replacement SIM to arrive
If you need a replacement SIM more urgently, you can also purchase one for just $2 from a range of retail stores, including Coles, Woolworths, Australia Post, 7-Eleven and many more.
Once you’ve purchased the SIM, you can activate the replacement SIM by following the instructions listed above.
Ordering a new or replacement eSIM
Ordering a new or replacement eSIM for a compatible device is easy. We recommend doing this via the amaysim app for simplicity.
- Log in to amaysim app.
- Swipe up and select ‘Replace SIM’.
- Select ‘I want a replacement eSIM’ or ‘I want eSIM for my new device’.
- Check your device is compatible and select ‘confirm replacement’.
- All good to go! Your new eSIM will be ready to go in 1-3 hours. You can keep using your current SIM in the meantime.
