WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR DATA RUNS OUT

If you run out of the included data in your amaysim mobile or data-only plan and do not have any data stored in your data bank, we'll pause your data access and wait for your next steps.

If you want to continue using data, you can choose to add a data top-up for which you’ll be charged $10 for every 1GB you add.

If you’d prefer, you can also choose to renew your plan early, which will automatically restart your plan afresh, restoring your data allowance immediately.

Alternatively, you can simply wait until your plan has renewed for its next 28-day period to access your data again.

Note: If you're a Postpaid customer and run out your plan’s included data, we'll automatically add a $10/1GB data top-up to your plan.

 

How to check your data balance

You can check your data balance at any time, either through the home screen of the amaysim app, or by texting ‘BAL’ to 568.

We'll also send you handy data usage alerts by email and text to let you know when you've used up 50%, 85% and 100% of your combined data allowance. However, as the messages can be delayed by up to 48 hours, the quickest and best way to be 100% sure of your exact balance is to check it through the app.

 

How data banking works on your amaysim plan

Otherwise known as ‘data rollover’, data banking saves all your unused data from your previous renewal period, ready for you to use whenever you run low on data.

For example, if your plan gives you 30GB of data each period, and you only use 10GB, when you next renew, the unused 20GB will automatically be saved in your data bank for later use.

We don’t cap your data banking, meaning there is no limit to the amount of data that can be stored in your data bank. So, you’ll always have that little bit extra to keep swiping, scrolling or streaming!
