HOW MUCH ARE INTERNATIONAL CALLS AND TEXTS?

Some amaysim mobile plans have unlimited standard international calls and texts to certain countries included. Otherwise, international calls and texts will be charged at our low-cost international rates.

Our UNLIMITED 32GB, and UNLIMITED 240GB plans both included unlimited standard international calls and texts to 28 countries. And our UNLIMITED 80GB, UNLIMITED 120GB and 7-day short term plans all include unlimited standard international calls and texts to 42 countries.

Our UNLIMITED 10GB and UNLIMTED 200GB plans do not have any international calls or texts included.

If you want to make an international call that isn’t included in your prepaid plan, or you’re using AS YOU GO, you will need additional credit in your amaysim account. If you’re on a postpaid plan, any charges for international calls or texts will be added to your next monthly bill. These will all be charged at our low-cost international rates.

How to make an international call or send an international text

To make an international call or send an international text from your device in Australia you’ll need to add the country code to the number you’re calling or messaging. Other than that, it’s the same as calling or texting an Australian number.

We recommend checking our low-cost international rates first, so you know how much credit you’ll need on your account, especially if you’re making an international call.

How to add an international code:

  • Press ‘+’ (on most devices the ‘+’ is located on the ‘*’ or ‘0’ button).
  • Enter the country code of the mobile number you’re calling or messaging.
  • Enter the mobile number, remembering to remove the first ‘0’, if it begins with an ‘0’.
  • For example: To call or text the New Zealand number 09 235 5678, you would enter +64 9 234 5678 – replacing the first ‘0’ with ‘+64’.
