Enabling your NetComm NF4V modem to work with amaysim

Resetting your modem may resolve any connectivity issues. Using a pin or paper clip, insert it into the ‘reset' hole on the back of the modem and hold it for 10 seconds. Allow around 5 minutes for the modem to perform a reset.

If that does not work, follow these steps, depending on your technology type.


For FTTP/HFC/FTTC technology types

  1. In your internet browser, type http://192.168.20.1 into the browsers address bar and press enter
  2. Login with these details:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin
  3. Select ‘Basic setup’, then ‘WAN’, and then Next
  4. Select IP over Ethernet (IPoE) and then Next
  5. Select ‘Obtain IP address automatically’, if it is not already selected
  6. Select Next
  7. When you see a screen titled ‘WAN Setup - Summary screen’, select Apply/Save
  8. Restart modem, if necessary - it may take some time for your settings to update

 

For FTTN/FTTB technology types

  1. In your internet browser, type http://192.168.20.1 into the browsers address bar and press enter
  2. Login with these details:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin
  3. Navigate to ‘Basic setup’, then ’Quick setup' and then 'Internet setup'
  4. Select ‘Ethernet WAN’ and then Next
  5. Select ‘IP over Ethernet (IPoE)’ and then Next
  6. Select ‘Obtain an IP address automatically’
  7. Select Next until you reach a summary screen titled ‘WAN Setup - Summary screen’
  8. Press Apply/Save
  9. Restart modem, if necessary - it may take some time for your settings to update
