Enabling your Netgear D6220 modem/router to work with amaysim
If you brought your Netgear D6220 modem/router to a telco, such as TPG, Dodo or Exetel, before bringing it to amaysim, you may need to change your modems settings so it can work with amaysim.
- In your internet browser, type http://www.routerlogin.net into the browsers address bar and press enter
- Login with these details:
- Username: admin
- Password: password
- Select ADVANCED and then 'Setup Wizard'
- Select country as ‘Australia’ and Internet Service Provider as ‘Other’
- Select ‘Yes’ for Netgear GENIE to help
- Your modem/router should connect to the internet
- Restart modem/router, if necessary
If that does not work you will manually need to set up VDSL:
- From the homepage of http://www.routerlogin.net select ‘Internet’
- If available, select country as ‘Australia’ and Internet Service Provider as ‘Other’
- Set Transfer Mode as ‘PTM’. DSL Mode should be ‘VDSL2’
- In the dropdrown above ‘Enable This Interface’, select ‘Internet’
- Leave the ‘Enable This Interface’ checkbox as unchecked
- Scroll down to ‘Does your internet connection require a login?’ and select ‘No’
- Under ‘Internet IP Address’, select ‘Get dynamically from ISP’
- Under ‘Domain name server (DNS) address', select 'Get automatically from ISP’
- Under ‘NAT (Network Address Translation’, select ‘Disable’
- Select ‘Apply’
