Enabling your ZTE H268A to work with amaysim

A number of settings in the modem router may be specific to your previous provider and performing a factory reset does not clear these settings.

Remove carrier specific settings

1. In your internet browser, type http://192.168.20.1 into the browsers address bar and press enter
2. Login with these detials
   • Username: admin
   • Password: admin
     • Ensure you are logged in as ‘admin’. Logging in as ‘user’ will hide a number of settings that need to be changed.
3. Navigate to the ‘DSL’ tab
4. Remove the following items that are defaulted to your previous provider

Note: you will not be able to delete the settings in "Management and Diagnosis" under TR-069.
 

Enable IPoE

1. Navigate to the ‘Ethernet’ tab on the WAN page
2. Delete any existing Ethernet connections
3. Select ‘Create new item'
4. Input the following settings:
   • Connection Name: amaysim (or name of choice)
   • Type: Routing
   • Service list: Internet
   • Link Type: IP
   • IP Version: IPv4
   • IPv4 Type: DHCP
   • NAT: On
   • VLAN: Off
5. Select ‘Apply’
6. Select the ‘DSL’ tab and delete all items.
7. Restart modem router, if necessary
